A Note From Brad Jalbert
I have been hybridizing roses since the very early beginnings of Select Roses in 1990, and I continue to find it one of the great pleasures in my life and rose business. My philosophy of rose-breeding is very simple. I listen to my heart, and my rose friends, and I try to breed roses that people will enjoy and can grow easily.
After several years of rigorous testing and scrutiny, it gives me great joy to offer new roses to the world market. I pride myself in introducing only those varieties that show superior performance and features that will make them a pleasure for home gardeners to grow.
You can learn all about this process by reading our Rose Naming page.
Select Roses, although a small company in the world of rose breeding, has introduced some of the most unique roses on the market today. Our roses have received high praise in gardens all across North America. I'm very honored to have my creations grown and enjoyed by gardeners across Canada and the U.S. Our roses have also been discovered by international growers, and we are so pleased to report that many of our varieties are now available throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, New Zealand and Australia, and even South Africa.
The roses we import from other companies are chosen with the same care and attention that we pay to our own creations. We offer exceptional varieties from the world's top-notch breeders, and we procure stock from growers whose product consistently meets and exceeds our customers' expectations.
Quality is important to us. It's the reason we can guarantee your rose-growing success. Our business is dedicated to promoting and helping you enjoy beautiful roses!
