Season's Greetings!

ScentimentalChristmas is just days away and a whole new year is around the bend, so we wanted to share with you our very best wishes for a warm and wondrous holiday season. 

This past year at Select Roses has given us many "firsts"--thanks to your patronage, support and encouragement, and the work of our small but fearless team!

For the first time ever, roses bred right here at Select Roses have been accepted into international rose trials in North Carolina, and three will be released through the Biltmore Collection in the U.S. and Canada.  It's a distinct honour to see a "Jalbert" rose make its way to quality growers throughout the continent.

This year also saw us release the largest collection of new plants for overseas testing.  To our knowledge, no single Canadian breeder has ever shipped a greater variety of new hybrids out into the global marketplace.  We have high hopes for this collection, and we are awaiting news from our colleagues in Europe and New Zealand who are working on infusing new life and selection into the miniature and patio rose market.

Here at home, we put together our new website to offer you better photos and the best advice our rose-growing experience can provide.  And, we've been thrilled with the conversation you share with us on our Facebook page! Thank you for posting your best rose photos, and sharing YOUR rose-growing successes with us: our homes, gardens and environment are more beautiful because of your work.  We look forward to seeing you in the spring!
