Westerland
Climber • Spicy rose scent • 6' tall • Created by R. Kordes • Photo by Dale Akerstrom
Grow it as a shrub. Grow it as a climber. Grow it as a large bush–but just grow it! We get more praise and comment on this hardy climber than any other rose in its class. People have often said they gave up growing roses until they planted Westerland. The massive trusses of frilly apricot blooms are filled with a sweet rose perfume that floats through the air. If you cut a cluster of this beauty it will perfume an entire room. I love its large, highly disease resistant foliage and iron clad constitution. A truly remarkable rose that should be grown in every garden and sold at every nursery. Westerland also comes in two other colour variations, 'Autumn Sunset' is an amber gold blend, and 'Lemon Meringue' is a clear soft yellow.

Dublin Bay
Climber • Mild fruity fragrance • 8' wide x 8' tall • Created by S.D. McGredy IV
If you want a brilliant, long-lasting red climber, this rose is hard to beat for our coastal gardens. Our two plants have been in the garden for more than 20 years now and they bloom from late May until frost. The flowers are large, well formed, and make an excellent show in the garden or as cut flower bouquets. Grows to about 8 feet tall or wide. Also makes a good large shrub if you prune it down each year. This rose seems to have a longer first wave of bloom than any climber I know of. The fall blooming is equally impressive!

Amadeus
Climber • Light spice fragrance • 8' wide x 8-10' tall • Created by Kordes • Photo by Kordes
Dark true blood red flowers in clusters. This is the new red climber that all others will be judged to. Flowers are long lasting, non-fading and stand up well to rain. It is part of the Kordes Climbing Max collection, bred for superior disease resistance and ease of cultivation. Winner of many international awards and winning the hearts of local gardeners! A great climber if you like the mass effect of a climber.

Laguna
Climber • Spiced fruit fragrance • 8' wide x 8' tall • Created by Kordes
Kordes is famous for its no-spray field testing, and over 10 to 12 years, they create and test climbers that are robust, disease-resistant, and floriferous without the use of chemical agents. The "Climbing MAX" assortment features roses that have proven to have a better blooming, growth, and health than the climbing roses of old. Laguna is one of this collection's best: very strong, fruity fragrance and gorgeous magenta blooms.

Roberta Bondar
Climber • Strong rose scent • 6' tall • J. Fleming
Bred by Joyce Fleming, one of Canada's leaders in rose hybridizing, and named for Dr. Roberta Bondar, Canada's first female astronaut. And does this rose ever soar! This is the best small yellow climber I've ever grown. A non-fading repeat bloomer.

Jacob's Robe
Climber • Light spicy rose scent • 8' wide x 8' tall • Created by T. Carruth
Weeks' Roses worked for many years to improve on the much loved rose, 'Jacob's Coat'. They admit that the colours aren't an exact match to the original--but this one is still unbelievably eye-catching. This great new climber is crazy with colour, has beautiful healthy foliage, and didn't break a sweat in the unusually cold winter we experienced few years' back. Mine is growing in a big oak barrel and it winters perfectly there! So many people ask for Jacob's Coat, but Jacob's Robe is a far superior plant with an ever-changing display of colours.
