Gertrude Jekyll
English Roses • Perfect old-rose scent • 4' wide x 4-6' tall • Created by D. Austin
One of the strongest and most beautifully scented English roses I know. Gertrude Jekyll is a classic rose that will please the most discerning nose. She has slender flexible canes that can be trained along a small fence which encourages here to produce more roses. She can also be grown as a tidy upright shrub. This is a wonderful older variety that thrives in cooler summer temperatures. I love the richness of flower and colour, simply beautiful at all stages. -
Golden Celebration
English Roses • Very strong and fruity tea perfume • 4' wide x 4' tall • Created by D. Austin
You will adore the deep golden flowers and rich fragrance of this rose. The individual flowers are very large and cup-shaped, holding up well in the rain. Our plant has a tidy arching habit and blooms well despite its shady location. Looks wonderful when trained along a low fence or up a short pillar. Very impressive when used as a cut flower. Golden Celebration is one of those roses that people run across the garden to see! -
James Galway
English Roses • Warm old-rose scent • 2.5' wide x 3' tall • Created by D. Austin
This is a superb English Rose! The bush is robust, upright-growing, and stands proud without staking. I love the double old-fashioned, frilly flowers. James Galway is a wonderful blend of pinks, darkening at the centre and softening towards the edges. The overall effect is classic. Gardeners will all appreciate the thick, healthy foliage that resists all rose diseases. I highly recommend this rose as a garden shrub or even a small climber. Great flush of bloom early June with excellent repeat all summer long. -
Teasing Georgia
English Roses • Medium-strong tea rose scent • 3' wide x 4' tall • Created by D. Austin
Wow! Simplly one of the most beautiful David Austin ever created. Teasing Georgia is far superior to the much more popular Graham Thomas rose, but for some reason she sits quietly in his shadow. She is an ideal rose for training on a wall, fence, pergola or any place you can best appreciate her graceful nodding flowers. The fragrance is tea-like and delicate just like her colour. Foliage is healthy mid-green and plentiful. She is my favorite yellow English rose and one that visitors to our garden always fall in love with. -
William Shakespeare 2000
English Roses • Warm old-rose scent • 2.5' wide x 3' tall • Created by D. Austin
For the lover of velvety red to purple roses, William Shakespeare offers large flowers packed with petals that truly resemble the ancient damask roses. The plant grows bushy and upright, making it suitable for containers and small gardens. Very winter hardy and easy to grow. Moderate old rose fragrance. I've become very fond of this rose over the years and now have four bushes in my garden. The crimson colour and form is truly stunning, but it's the fragrance that makes you fall in love.
