Livin' Easy (Fellowship)
Floribunda • Light citrus scent • 4' wide x 4' tall • Created by Harkness
This has to be the most reliable, free-blooming floribunda in the world! The color is brilliant shades of orange and yellow, always pure and fresh, and never harsh. The foliage is dark, glossy green and highly resistant to disease. People have told us for years that Livin' Easy is the best rose they have ever planted, and it's well tested and suited for our coastal climate. This is just a superb garden rose. We are thrilled to offer a golden yellow version of this rose, called 'Easy Going' as well. It's identical in every way to Livin' Easy but has a soft, golden yellow flower. Both are highly recommended. 1996 AARS Winner. Also known as 'Fellowship' in Britain, where it was named for the Rotary movement.

Monkey Business
Floribunda • Moderate tea rose scent • 4' wide x 4' tall • Created by K.W. Zary
I had this as a new test rose from the late and great Jackson & Perkins rose company a few years back. It was the most perfectly formed and perfectly yellow floribunda I had ever grown! It has a wonderful tidy habit, glossy clean foliage and oh those wonderful banana yellow roses! Superb from start to finish, never fading and flowering from late spring until frost. If you insist on roses that look like roses, you will love this Monkey Business. Nice tea rose fragrance as well. Perfect for cutting.

L'aimant (Victorian Spice)
Floribunda • Strong citrus rose scent • 3' wide x 4' tall • Created by Harkness
Another oh la la rose! This English-bred rose has everything you could ask for in a nice garden plant. Health, flower power, and amazing old rose perfume! Often recommended just for its heady perfume, L’ Aimant is a strong-growing, almost shrub-style rose that carries its wonderful cottage style roses on long cutting stems. Most are borne in well-spaced clusters, ideal for cutting; you can fill a room with its scent. This is a people-pleaser type of rose. Tends to be in short supply and heavy demand! Note: Released in the U.S. as 'Victorian Spice'. The original name, L'aimant, was given to commemorate the cologne of the same name, released by Coty in 1927.

Playboy
Floribunda • Fresh apple scent • 4' wide x 4' tall • Created by A.M. Cocker
Everyone loves the Playboy rose! Brilliant blends of oranges and yellows (yes I do love these colours) on a healthy, shrubby plant. The foliage is highly polished and looks absolutely lush when fully leafed out in June. Landscapers all seem to love this rose. The single flowers are born in large flashy trusses making you forget that it is only a single flower. I really love roses with this much pizzazz and character. Moderate fresh apple scent to the blossoms. Playboy hates cold winter winds, so plant deeper and hill him up. Very few thorns are an added bonus.

Rainbow Sorbet
Floribunda • Lightly scented • 4' wide x 4' tall • Created by P. Lim & J. Twomey
It was love at first site when I met this rose. The blend of colours defies all written words so I won’t even go there! Have a peek at this photo, and then plant one to enjoy her beauty. The plant flowers early, grows very tidily and upright, and the foliage that is well above average in health. As a superior cutting rose, she makes garden bouquets come alive. Only a light fragrance, but with those flowers you couldn’t even fault her for that!

Scentimental
Floribunda • Strong spicy rose scent • 3' wide x 3' tall • Created by T. Carruth
Had to include this one just for its crazy candy cane colours! The plant is vigorous, well branched, and easy to grow to about three feet. Flowers are born in massive waves all summer and even have a wonderful rose fragrance! Love it or hate it, you will notice this rose in the garden. Most people smile when they see it.

Wild Blue Yonder
Floribunda (Grandiflora) • Strong citrus rose scent • 3' wide x 4' tall • Created by T. Carruth
Colour and fragrance combined with a powerful upright growing plant have made this rose a class favourite. Wild Blue Yonder starts out deep cranberry-purple in bud, and opens to reveal and almost slate blue centre. I love its flower shape, colour blend, and of course that ever-pleasing rose fragrance. The plant grows to about four feet with a three foot spread in rich soils, so give it some room. Needs full sun to keep its foliage healthy as it can be. Doesn’t appreciate down pours of rain when in full bloom, but then again what flower does?

Lavaglut
Floribunda • No scent • 2' wide x 2' tall • Created by Kordes
Another older variety that is worth a mention, just because it is so unique and special. This hardy rose out flowers any other red floribunda I now. The clusters can be enormous and often require a bit of support if it rains while the plant is in full bloom. Bred in Germany by Kordes with many of their normal plant qualities, health, hardiness and easy of cultivation. The flowers last forever on the plant making it an excellent choice for containers or borders. When in flower, it draws the eye. There isn’t another rose like it. Fragrance is reminiscent of... hmm... cardboard? But hey, it has everything else! Dense grower to about 2 feet, and wonderful in containers.

About Face
Floribunda (Grandiflora) • Fruity apple tea rose scent • 4' wide x 5' tall • Created byt T. Carruth
This is one of those radiant, beautiful colours that glow in the garden! I’ve seen this rose doing wonderfully in "no spray" city parks, and that is often enough reason to give it a top recommendation. When you combine that with a truly beautiful glowing colour blend of copper, salmon and orange, and add in tea rose perfume over healthy foliage, you get a great garden plant. About Face is a tall grower (classed as a grandiflora) so give it some room to shoot up. It shows wonderful winter hardiness in our area and benefits from a firm pruning each spring to keep it in check! This one really stands tall and proud in the garden!

Easy Does It
Floribunda • Fruity rose scent • 2.5' wide x 2.5' tall • Created by Harkness • Photo: All-America Rose Selections
The 2010 AARS Winner and top award-winning rose from Harkness in England. Well-named, this rose is extremely disease resistant and never out of flower. The beds we had planted in three no-spray city parks stayed clean in their first year despite horrible weather conditions that spring. The colour is a blend of peach, orange, yellow, and even a flush of pink. Flowers are fully double, and at times have an interesting frill to the petals edge. Wonderful tidy grower to about 2.5 feet. This is a great landscape shrub or anywhere you need flower power!

Belle Danielle
Floribunda • Lightly scented • 2' wide x 3' tall • Created by G. Fryer
Brilliant hot pink perfectly shaped rosebuds are making Belle Danielle a wonderful addition to our gardens. The plant is well-branched and extremely vigorous, showing increased winter hardiness over other similar roses. She has dark, glossy, healthy foliage and above-average rose looks! Wonderful as a garden or cutting rose. Our Belle Danielle plants made it through the record cold a couple of years ago with flying pink colours. Who would think a brute could be so pretty!

Drop Dead Red
Floribunda • Lightly scented • 3' wide x 3' tall • Created by T. Carruth
This is as red as red gets! Perfectly formed long lasting roses in small clusters. The foliage is dark glossy green and healthy making an excellent backdrop for those gorgeous cutting roses. I think the name is cute and so far I love this new introduction. It is new to our climate, so time will tell! Flowers never fade in the sun and are completely rainproof!

Hot Cocoa
Floribunda • Mild fruit scented • 4' wide x 4' tall • Created by T. Carruth
I used to say this was a love it or hate it rose, but I have noticed that more and more people favour its rusty chocolate colour! The plant is healthy, upright, and strong growing with dark glossy foliage. It has shown well above average disease resistance, but I have noticed it prefers a drier summer. Easy to grow, Hot Cocoa does best when pruned hard each spring, as it is very willing to send out lots of nice new basal growth. Nothing else like it on the market!

Tabris
Floribunda • Fresh rose scent • 2.5' wide x 5' tall • Created by Kordes
A simply stunning blend of colours. White with strawberry-pink edges, Tabris has a magical blend in both colour and flower form. Everyone comments on this rose, and I mean everyone! A rose that is very different from most, makes an outstanding cutting rose (cut the entire truss) and looks brilliant in the landscape. Tabris is an award-winning rose that is much loved by local rose society members. Strong, upright growing, with above average winter hardiness. I’m crazy about this rose just because it is so darn beautiful. Light fresh fragrance. Note: There is some confusion about the name, and it is often called 'Hanna Gordon' or 'Nicole'. Lou Little, the editor of Northwest Rosarian Bulletin, sorts out the mix up in her article at HelpMeFind.com.
